I'm nearing the age of 66. I've done a good job of maintaining my strength and endurance, but agility, not so much.
So I decided to add an occasional workout that emphasizes agile movement.
Here are the exercises I did, in no particular order.
Getups
Lie on the floor while holding a dumbbell in your outreached hand. Sit up and rise to a standing position while continuing to hold the dumbbell over your head.
Jumping Presses
Press two dumbbells overhead while jumping or bouncing up and down.
Forward Dumbbell Thrusts
Push two dumbbells forward, keeping your arms at shoulder height. Jump or bounce up and down while performing the movement.
Jumping Dumbbell Squats
Squat down while swinging two dumbbells behind you. Jump or bounce back up to a standing position.
Rope Jumping
Jump rope until you are good and winded.
