Protocol for Preventing Respiratory Infections

Preventative Measures:

1) Vitamin C - 2,000 to 4,000 mg per day (depending on bowel tolerance - even more is fine, there is no upward limit) Benefits: Strengthens the immune system. Promotes collagen.

2) Vitamin D - 2,000 to 5,000 IU per day (too much Vitamin D is toxic) Benefits: Strengthens the immune system and is good for bone health.

3) Zinc (citrate, orotate, or gluconate) - up to 50 mg per day (Zinc expert Ananda Prasad states that individuals can take 45mg per day without any side effects. I take up to 100mg per day, which is more than the recommended dose, because the higher levels of zinc help me recover from hard workouts. People who engage in extreme exercise need more zinc, as well as other minerals and vitamins than sedentary people.) Benefits: Zinc prevents the replication of viruses, strengthens the immune system, aids muscle repair after workouts, and is an anti-inflammatory.

4) N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) - 600 to 1,800 mg per day (precursor to the antioxidant glutathione) Benefits: Strengthens the immune system, detoxifies the liver, helps prevent cancer, and increases lung function for those with lung issues. NAC, though, is not recommended for asthmatics. Talk to a doctor first if you have asthma.

5) Selenium - 200 mcg per day Benefits: Helps the liver produce glutathione and makes zinc more bioavailable.

Note: Other promising supplements are the amino acid L-Lysine and monolaurin, which comes from coconuts.

Sickness Protocol:

1) Continue the supplements listed above

2) Take megadoses of Vitamin C (as much as you can stand repeatedly throughout the day. Consider taking Liposomal Vitamin C for increased effectiveness.)

3) Increase the Vitamin D dosage to 10,000 or more IU per day.

4) Quercetin (helps drive the zinc into the cells - I have no personal experience with quercetin so I will not recommend a dosage.)

5) Ivermectin (Use the horse paste version so that you don’t have to mess with a doctor for a prescription. The full horse paste dose is for a 1,250 pound horse, so take an amount based on your own weight. Take every 12 to 24 hours until you feel better.) Stops the replication of viruses.

6) Nebulized hydrogen peroxide - Put 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide in a nebulizer. (Can dilute with distilled water if 3% is too harsh. Never go higher than 3% because higher levels are caustic.) HP has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. HP is extremely effective for killing respiratory infections. Dr. David Brownstein recommends adding a drop or two of Lugol's iodine.
